Huffington makes great points here - let the Obama campaign know that this moving to the center will not keep all of us getting the votes out for him in November:

How bad is it?
Just check out this New York Times production on the way in which Rumsfeld and the Bush administration manipulated the media on the war in Iraq.
We have entered an era of true kleptocracy - democracy in America is more at risk than ever.

Rules & Regs for Nevada Delegate Selection
Are you a delegate to the Nevada State Democratic Convention?
You MUST attend. Selection of candidates will be based, I believe, on proportional representation at the convention - so if you wish to support you candidate and maintain the fair proportion of the caucus and county convention process, you MUST attend!
Here's a link to the selection process rules:

Ideas for Democrats 2008 - A Start
Here are some things that I think ought to be included in our advocacy:
- Some real ideas on health care that don’t include the insurance industry – Ginny Reel (my wife) suggests that we advocate for Federally, and locally, sponsored free clinics. Something that could compete with the current system, without replacing it. That way we let the free market decide, and we cover the health needs of those currently left outside the system. We must re-focus our debate on the fact that health CARE is the issue, not health insurance.
- Another of Ginny’s ideas, real economic stimulus in the form of regulation of credit card percentage rates and fees – if we paid less to our credit cards, we could pay them off more easily, and begin to bail out the economy through saving, spending what we’ve got, and real economic stability.
- A platform of true inclusion – the Democratic Party must take a strong stand for the rights of all Americans, regardless of skin color, ethnicity, gender, or religion. Why minorities of any group would vote anything but Democrat is astounding, and why we would vote for the politics as usual, is even more astounding. We need to let everyone know that Democrats in general, and the Obama campaign especially, will stand for all Americans equally.

Let's Get Together
And make something happen!
I am a delegate for Barack Obama from Douglas County Nevada, running to be rural Nevada's voice to the Democratic Convention in Denver.
Together we can bring the voice of Nevada to the national stage, and make our state, and our nation a better place.
Use this blog as a place to share ideas, form platforms, and mobilize - let's not let the opportunities of this election pass us by!
